In this stunning area, there are many activities you can do. There are many places where you can take in the amazing landscape and enjoy some fresh air - be it through a relaxing walk, a leisurely run or an energising bike ride.
Within walking distance to the hotel, you will find many restaurants where you can taste delicious food and wine whilst having fun - some of them offering live music for that extra special touch of ambiance.
Quinta do Lago is also known for its famous lake, as well as its golf courses - such as Quinta do Lago North, Quinta do Lago South and Quinta do Lago Laranjal. In this idyllic location, there are many activities for you, your friends and family.

Algarve beaches
The Algarve's 200 km of coastline offers an array of coves, cliffs, caves, rocky beaches and large stretches of sand. Some of the best and most beautiful beaches in the world can be found in the Algarve. From Aljezur to Vila Real de Santo António, there are plenty of beaches at your disposal - you will be spoilt for choice.
Very close to Quinta do Lago Country Club, about 13 minutes walking distance, you will find Quinta do Lago beach. Imagine waking up every morning at the hotel and being greeted with the refreshing morning breeze coming from the beach…
The mild weather allows you to enjoy the beach and the sun thoughout all year. You can easily lay down your towel and let the sun caress your skin whilst having a drink, reading a book, playing with your kids, or simply enjoying the sunshine after a dip in the clear algarvian waters.

Places to visit in Algarve
Throughout the Algarve, there are countless places to visit. Some of them are accessible by car, others on foot and others by using public transportation. In all these places, you will find a bit of history.
In Silves, you can visit the castle. In Sagres, there is Cabo de São Vicente. If you prefer to go inland, why not pay a visit to Fóia, in Monchique, the highest mountain in Algarve. Lagos is also worth visiting, with a lot of very interesting places - such as museums.
In Loulé you can find a beautiful market, with people selling local fruits and vegetables, fresh fish and seafood, among other items. In Faro, you can lose yourself in the labyrinthic streets while discovering hidden monuments.
In Tavira, you can visit the Roman bridge and its castle. If you go up to Alcoutim you can visit the beautiful river beach with its calm waters.

Algarve golf courses
If you are a golf enthusiast, then you will find that the Algarve has some of the best golf courses in Europe.
The Algarve was also repeatedly considered to be the best-golfing destination in the world by magazines devoted to the sport and by international associations of specialist tour operators.
With an ideal climate that lets you play throughout the year and a wide variety of four dozen courses, the region is a golfers’ paradise.
Most courses are located in protected areas, with stunning views. They are internationally recognised for the quality of their facilities, and they have been designed by prestigious players and legendary champions such as Sir Henry Cotton, Rocky Roquemore, Arnold Palmer and Ronald Fream.
The courses are spread from one extreme of the region to the other. By the beach or further inland, flat or hilly, the choices are varied, but any of them can offer you the chance of birdies and eagles, and maybe even a hole in one.
However, there are a few safety measures golf courses are adopting:
● You must maintain 2 meters from other players, including at the teeing area and the green.● You mustn’t physically greet other players before or during the game.
● You mustn’t remove or touch the flagstick.
● You mustn’t exchange scorecards with other players.
